TESTIMONIAL
FLORIDA FARM BUREAU CASUALTY INSURANCE Co
Aperta has recently installed its image-enabled
remittance processing (VRPA)
system at Florida Farm Bureau Casualty Insurance Company’s
offices in Gainesville, Florida.
Running on two Unisys NDP300 transports, VRPA will
send images of payments to their existing Imageright
workflow management installation.
Key to Florida Farm Bureau’s decision to
go with Aperta was the scalability of their proposed solution, with
the opportunity to further enhance VRPA with the addition of CAR/LAR
support later, future-proofing FFB’s investment. Local representation,
and a proven compatibility with Imageright sealed the deal.
Aperta’s vast experience within remittance
payment systems really came into it’s own during the installation
process. Jeanie M Slightom, Accounting Operations Manager at Florida
Farm Bureau commented: “We went through several iterations
during the requirements definition phase, and many further modifications
were requested during customisation and installation. All of these
change requests were accommodated speedily and professionally.”
Aperta staff were on hand to ensure that the installation
was completed with minimal disruption to business. “We are
delighted with the quality of service offered by Aperta, from understanding
our business processes to training our staff in the new system”
added Ms Slightom.
CABLE TV COMPANY
A major cable TV company had a problem handling
a large number of monthly remittances from customers and other commercial
partners. One key issue they faced was that customer payment queries
had to be researched from microfilm records; something they found
laborious and time consuming.
Aperta’s two-pass image application VRPA+
was chosen to operate on their Unisys NDP300 with Soft CAR system.
Ease of use and speed of familiarisation for the operators was of
major importance, and VRPA+ enabled them to double the number of
remittances processed without increasing staffing levels, and give
them the flexibility they needed to accept payments from a variety
of sources.
Significantly, their customer payment research
time went down dramatically using Aperta’s Visual Image Archive,
with remittance images stored on CD ROM. The database allows the
user to search by account number, payment date, check number etc.
from any PC on the company’s intranet to display the check
image. As an additional benefit, retrieved images are easily inserted
into customer letters using VRPA+’s Microsoft Office integration
features.
These factors have significantly reduced the time
taken to resolve queries, saving both staff costs and improving
customer service at the same time.
HOSPITAL
The hospital processes payments from patients and
insurance companies, and wanted an easy migration path from their
existing Unisys DP500 with NPPS, at the same time as adopting the
benefits of imaging technology. Aperta’s Visual RPA solution
running on a Unisys NDP300 provided the best solution to their need
for a seamless transition to an image based solution.
Visual RPA allowed the hospital to improve its
remittance handling, and improved its levels of customer service
through faster query resolution.
Aperta provides a replacement product for the Unisys
NPPS application which results in a simple migration to Aperta’s
solution. This was one of the key differentiators in the selection
of Aperta’s product.
